It was 1991 during the aids epidemic in San Francisco, when the photographer, NOE started documenting the LGBT nightclub scene. Soon they were hired to photograph the performers of Club Dekadance at The legendary EndUp. Contortionists, fire breathers, snake charmers gathered in the gnarled groves of Golden Gate Park, a pagan circus, a butoh dance of horror and humor that held court to death and birth. Shot on a 4×5 view camera with Polaroid 4×5 back. 4×5 positive & film negative. Location: Golden Gate Park, groves between the windmills.
